The reigning champions. A father and son team from Essex who have had incredible success in the BCAC having won the finals twice in back to back victories and also having won the biggest fish of the tournament with a record that still stands.

Peter Holehouse and Ian Huntington

The number one seeds and undoubtedly the best anglers never to have won the BCAC. Came second in 1999 and regularly finish in the top 10, frequently winning their eliminator qualifiers, they have qualified for all but 1 final over the last 10 years.

Simon Bury and Matt Brown

This likeable Manchester pairing are relative newcomers to the BCAC and this is their first finals. Qualified at Cuttle Mill and then took a 2nd in the first semi finals to qualify.

Adam Penning and Tom Dove

Two household names that work for tackle company Korda. Fished in the BCAC for two or three years now and are starting to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

James Blake and Anthony Bassire

Another new pairing to the BCAC and a first time in the finals. Really pulled it out of the bag at Farlows when the going was tough and cruised through their semi with ease.

Kev Grout and Matt Wylde

Two young guns with a bright future. Have qualified for the semis before now but this is their first finals. Very capable and Broadlands is a venue that will suit their style of angling.

Mark Bartlett and Dean Goodwill

Mark Bartlett and Dean Goodwill

Mark won the junior BCAC  in 1999 and has now gone on to prove himself as one of the top senior competition anglers in the country. Regularly qualifies for the finals but has yet to win one. Dean is a new partner for this year and is showing a lot of promise. This is his first finals.

Peter Leakey and Adrian Faultley

Big fish anglers with a lot of whackers to their names Adrian has caught 12 UK forties and between them they have fished in 4 finals of the BCAC. Qualified at Farlows which is one of their regular haunts.

Ian Poole and Jon Finch

Regular BCAC competitors who usually fish for carp talk and another set of household names, the lads have fished in a number of finals and their best result is a 3rd overall in 2000. Deadly with bags and floater fishing tBroadlands really suits their style of angling

Simeon Bond and Danny Henwood

Regular BCAC competitors and have qualified for a number of finals on the past. Simeon runs Free Spirit and Dan is the boss of Specialist Tackle.  A force to be reckoned with at Walthamstow No 1 where they usually qualify. All round nice guys.

Andy Maker and Tom Maker

Another father and son pairing that are more than capable of winning the overall title. Tom is one of the hottest youngsters around at the moment and won the biggest fish of the tournament prize in 2006. Father Andy was British Champion in 2004 also taking a 2nd in 2003. This is Toms first finals but as a team they have fished in two semi’s.

Joe Morgan and Daryl Peck

Two more Korda hotshots and household names who have a reputation for catching a lot of big fish. Fished in the BCAC for three years now and have qualified for the semi’s before but this is their first finals. Part of the Korda B team that won the BCAC Team prize this year.

Jamie French and Jon Hill

Newcomers to the BCAC over the last couple of years this will be their first finals. Qualified at Kingsbury with an impressive display of angling then took a 5th on semi 2.

Quiet lads that are capable when the going gets tough. PVA bagging and accurate casting suits them

Liam Hodges and Lee Pollard

Their first year in the BCAC they dominated their eliminator then Liam, who is only 16, qualified on his own in Semi 2 as Lee could not fish. Very good at reading the water and especially at margin fishing this is their first finals at their first ever attempt

Richard Seeds and Lee Baker

Another team in the BCAC for the first time they were the cast off winners at Semi 2 with a very impressive display of accuracy which will suit Broadlands down to the ground. Likeable and competitive and very practiced with the spod.
