Chilham is always a favourite of the BCAC boys and girls, so much so that we run two events here. May s a great time of year to fish there as well as the weed is not too tricky, and all sorts of methods work. Maggots have dominated, as have boilies, but one thing is for sure. Chilham is a serious water that doesn’t suffer fools gladly so be on your toes if you want to reap the rewards that this gorgeous lake can offer.
ELIMINATOR SPONSOR
Mainline Baits
Mainline Baits, one of the world’s largest carp bait manufacturers, teamed up with Mid Kent Fisheries in a joint venture to endorse Chilham Mill a few years ago.
Over the past few years both companies have continued to climb to the top of the Carp fishing world with Mid Kent Fisheries Conningbrook producing the British Record carp, and mainline's continued growth and commitment in research and development to produce some of the finest carp baits available today.
Chilham Mill is the Jewel in the Mid Kent Fisheries crown and is so popular with the BCAC competitors that once again we are holding 2 eliminators. The Mainline backed deadly duo of Pete Holehouse and Ian Huntingdon have been dominant here for a number of years now and they are out yet again to prove their worth. However, with a line up that's second to none they will certainly have a fight on their hands this time around. The team event also hots up again at Chilham with no less than 7 pairs looking to catch the current front runners Afishionado.
MATCH SUMMARY
10.00 SAT
Chilham is proving to be a tough one and is suffering int eh cold north easterlies. Incredibly just 2 fish have been caught so far, but if Holehouse and Huntington ( 1st out and UK No1 seeds) are struggling to catch, then times must be hard. Swain / Swain lead the way with a 33.09 and just one other fish ihas been out to The Durmans at 25.08
12.00 MID WAY STAGE
Things are imroving as three more fish have been caught. The Durmans added a second to take the lead, and Ready / Clapperton and Holehouse / Huntington are now on the board. The afternoon should see the leaderboard taking shape with a few more teams scoring.
10.00pm SAT
Over 10 hours since the last fish and no change to the scores. The weather is playing havoc with the weekends results
0600 SUN
5 fish out overnight including two cracking 30s. The Durmans look safe now but everyone else is not safe yet as the biggies are coming out.
